Slave Cylinder
Removal & Installation
NOTE
These vehicles use a hydraulic throwout bearing instead of a traditional clutch release slave cylinder. Accessing this part requires removal of the transaxle.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
- Remove the transaxle.
- Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
To install:
- Coat the input shaft splines with high-temperature grease.
- Install the clutch slave cylinder and tighten the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
- Install the transaxle.
- Fill and bleed the clutch system.
