How to replace Fuel Conditioning Module on Ford E series?

The details to replace Fuel Conditioning Module is as follows:----


Fuel Conditioning Module
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure is mentioned below: ------


  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4. Disconnect the fuel conditioning module electrical connectors.

  5. Disconnect the fuel hose spring lock couplings.
  6. Disconnect the wiring pushpin. Remove the 2 mounting bolts and the fuel conditioning module.
  7. Installation is the reverse order of removal.

How to Replace Water pump on Ford E series?

The water pump replacing procedure is as follows:----


WATER PUMP

Removal & Installation FOR ...
4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L ENGINES
6.0L ENGINE

4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines



Specific to:
Ford E-150 2008-2009
Ford E-250 2008-2009
Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the engine fan. For additional information, refer to the following section, -Engine Fan, Removal & Installation.-
  4. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
  5. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the coolant pulley.
  6. Remove the four bolts and the water pump pulley.
  7. Remove the four water pump mounting bolts and the water pump. Discard the O-ring seal.
To install:
  1. Install a new O-ring on the water pump.
    NOTE
    Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine coolant prior to installation into the cylinder block.
  2. Position the water pump into place and tighten the mounting bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
    WARNING
    Do not rotate the coolant pump housing once the coolant pump has been positioned in the cylinder block. Damage to the O-ring seal will occur.
  3. Position the water pump pulley onto the coolant pump and install the bolts finger-tight.
  4. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt onto the water pump pulley.
  5. Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  6. The remainder of the installation is the reverse order of removal.
  7. Refill the cooling system to the correct level.

6.0L Engine



Specific to:
Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Loosen the four water pump pulley bolts.
  4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the water pump pulley.
  5. Remove the four bolts and the water pump pulley.
  6. Remove the 4 bolts and the water pump. Discard the O-ring seal.
To install:

NOTE
Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine water prior to installation.

  1. Install a new O-ring on the water pump.
  2. Position the water pump and tighten the bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm).
    WARNING
    Do not rotate the water pump housing once the water pump has been positioned in the cylinder block. Damage to the O-ring seal will occur.
  3. Position the water pump pulley and install the 4 bolts finger-tight.
  4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise and install the accessory drive belt onto the water pump pulley.
  5. Tighten the 4 water pump pulley bolts to 23 ft. lbs. (31 Nm).
  6. The remainder of the installation is the reverse order of removal.
  7. Refill the cooling system to the correct level.

How to replace Thermostat on Ford E series?

Ford E series thermostat replacing procedure is as follows:----


Removal & Installation

6.0L ENGINE

4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines



Specific to:
Ford E-150 2008-2009
Ford E-250 2008-2009
Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the engine cooling system.
  4. Remove the air intake assembly.
  5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose for access if necessary.
  6. Remove the mounting bolts and position the thermostat housing aside.
  7. Remove the thermostat and discard the O-ring.

To install:
  1. Install the thermostat using a new O-ring.
  2. Install the thermostat housing and tighten the mounting bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  3. The remainder of the installation is the reverse order of removal.
  4. Refill the cooling system to the correct level.

6.0L Engine



Specific to:
Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the engine cooling system.
  4. Remove the six pushpin retainers and upper air deflector.
  5. Remove the four bolts for the power steering reservoir bracket.
  6. Remove the three bolts and power steering fluid indicator. Remove the power steering reservoir mounting bracket. Install the power steering fluid indicator and position aside.
  7. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.
  8. Loosen the two clamps and remove the ACL outlet pipe.
    NOTE
    If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) tube to prevent the tube from blowing off.
  9. Loosen the 2 clamps and remove the CAC tube.
  10. Disconnect and position the upper radiator hose aside.
  11. Remove the nut and position the fuel line retainer aside.
  12. Remove the two stud bolts, thermostat assembly and discard the O-ring seal.
  13. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Tighten the housing mounting bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm).
