Replacing Heater core on Pontiac G5?

The complete Car AC compressor removal procedure with details and diagrams are as follows:-----

CAUTION
With a pressurized cooling system, the coolant temperature in the radiator can be considerably higher than the boiling point of the solution at atmospheric pressure. Removal of the surge tank cap, while the cooling system is hot and under high pressure, causes the solution to boil instantaneously with explosive force. This will cause the solution to spew out over the engine, the fenders, and the person removing the cap. Serious bodily injury may result.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Place a drain pan under the water pump drain port.
  5. Loosen the water pump drain bolt and drain the coolant from the water pump.
  6. Close and tighten the water pump drain bolt. Tighten the water pump drain bolt to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  7. Lower the vehicle.
