LEFT SIDE And RIGHT SIDE Blend door actuator Removal on Cadillac?

The Procedure mentioned here will work for
Cadillac CTS and DTS 2005-2007 Year Car Models.

In this section blower motor replacing procedure is mentioned for Left side and right side.
Go through the details and Diagrams.

Left Side

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Remove the left closeout panel.
3. Disconnect the left air temperature actuator (Blend Door) electrical connector from the actuator.
4. Remove the left air temperature actuator screws.
5. Remove the left air temperature actuator.

To install:

1. Install the left air temperature actuator.
2. Install the left air temperature actuator screws.
3. Tighten the screws to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
4. Connect the left air temperature actuator electrical connector to the actuator.
5. Install the left closeout panel. Tighten the fasteners to 18 inch lbs. (2 Nm).

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Disable SIR system.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the instrument panel top pad.
5. Remove the instrument panel center trim panel.
6. Remove the left instrument panel accessory trim plate.
7. Remove the instrument panel cluster assembly.
8. Remove the driver knee bolster assembly.
9. Remove the steering column.
10. Remove the instrument panel compartment.
11. Remove the instrument panel ashtray assembly, if equipped.
12. Remove the center console, if equipped.
13. Remove the radio.
14. Remove the HVAC control Assembly.
15. Remove the instrument panel left air outlet.
16. Remove the right and left side window air outlet ducts.
17. Remove the instrument panel right air outlet.
18. Remove the instrument panel lower panel bolts.
19. Disconnect the electrical harness connections.
20. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel lower panel.
21. Remove the left hand floor air outlet duct.
22. Disconnect the left hand air temperature actuator electrical connector.
23. Remove the left temperature actuator screws.
24. Remove the left temperature actuator.

To install:

1. Install the left temperature actuator.
2. Install the left temperature actuator screws. Tighten the screws to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
3. Reconnect the left hand air temperature actuator electrical connector.
4. Install the left hand floor air outlet duct.
5. With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel lower panel.
6. Reconnect the electrical harness connections.
7. Install the instrument panel lower panel bolts. Tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
8. Install the instrument panel right air outlet.
9. Install the right and left side window air outlet ducts.
10. Install the instrument panel left air outlet.
11. Install the HVAC control Assembly.
12. Install the radio.
13. Install the center console, if equipped.
14. Install the instrument panel ashtray assembly, if equipped.
15. Install the instrument panel compartment.
16. Install the steering column.
17. Install the driver knee bolster assembly.
18. Install the instrument panel cluster assembly.
19. Install the left instrument panel accessory trim plate.
20. Install the instrument panel center trim panel.
21. Install the instrument panel top pad.
22. Enable the SIR system.
23. Connect the negative battery cable.
24. Reprogram the necessary accessories.

Right Side

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Remove the park brake pedal assembly.
3. Remove the screws that retain the actuator.

4. Remove the right air temperature actuator (Blend Door).
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.

To install:

1. Connect the electrical connector to actuator.
2. Install the right air temperature actuator.
3. Install the screws that retain the right air temperature actuator.
4. Tighten the screws to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
5. Install the park brake pedal assembly.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Disable the SIR system.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Drain the cooling system.
5. Recover the refrigerant.
6. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve.
7. Remove the heater hoses from the heater core.
8. Remove the brake pedal bracket assembly.
9. Pull back and reposition the carpet.
10. Remove the lower Instrument Panel (I/P) support brace.
11. Reposition the auxiliary air distribution duct.
12. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
13. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.
14. Remove the right hand floor air outlet duct.
15. Remove the left hand floor air outlet duct.
16. Remove the HVAC module assembly.
17. Remove the A/C evaporator case upper screws (1).
18. Separate the upper (2) and lower (3) case.
19. Remove the air temperature actuator screws.
20. Remove the right air temperature actuator.

To install:

1. Install the right air temperature actuator.
2. Install the air temperature actuator screws. Tighten the screws to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
3. Join together the upper and lower case, install and tighten screws to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
4. Install the HVAC module assembly.
5. Install the instrument panel carrier.
6. Install the auxiliary air distribution duct.
7. Install the lower Instrument Panel (I/P) support brace.
8. Reposition the carpet.
9. Install the brake pedal bracket assembly.
10. Install the heater hoses to the heater core.
11. Install the evaporator tube to the thermal expansion valve.
12. Refill cooling system and the bleed system as follows:
    1. Add a 50/50 mixture of water and DEX-COOL® antifreeze to the KALT/COLD mark (seam) on the surge tank.
    2. Start the engine and allow it to idle for 1 min.
    3. Add more coolant to the surge tank as necessary.
    4. Install the radiator sure tank cap.
    5. Cycle the engine, from idle to 3000 rpm, in 30 second intervals, until the engine reaches normal operating temperatures.
    6. Turn the engine OFF and recheck the coolant level when the engine is cool.
13. Evacuate and recharge A/C system. Check connections for leaks.
14. Enable the SIR system.
15. Reprogram the necessary accessories.
