Crankshaft Front Seal Replacing on Ford, Mercury and Lincoln?

Crankshaft Front Seal
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Details are as follows:----

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
4. Use special tool 303-107 (T74P-6700-A) or a suitable seal remover to remove the front cover seal.

To install:

1. Lubricate the engine front cover and the front oil seal inner lip with clean engine oil.
2. Use special tool 303-635 or a suitable seal installer to install the crankshaft front seal into the engine front cover.

3. Install the crankshaft pulley.
4. Reconnect negative battery cable, check for leaks and repair if necessary.
