Replacing Condenser on Ford E series Vans?

The details to replace condenser on Ford E series Vans are as follows :-----


Removal & Installation
4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L ENGINES
6.0L ENGINE

Instructions for this engine models are mentioned below:----


4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines


Specific to:

Ford E-150 2008-2009

Ford E-250 2008-2009

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009


NOTE
If an A/C condenser core leak is suspected, the A/C condenser core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Properly recover the A/C refrigerant.
Remove the air intake assembly.
Remove the five retaining pins and remove the air deflector.
Disconnect the compressor discharge line.
Disconnect the condenser to evaporator tube.
Remove the mounting screws and remove the upper radiator mounting brackets.
Remove the two A/C condenser mounting brackets.
Push the radiator back to access to the A/C condenser core.
Remove the A/C condenser core.
WARNING
Do not damage the cooling fins while handling the A/C condenser core.

Installation is the reverse order of removal. Install new O-rings lubricated in clean PAG oil.

6.0L Engine


Specific to:

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Properly recover the A/C refrigerant.
Remove the nuts and disconnect the condenser fittings. Discard the O-ring seals.
Remove the engine fan assembly. For additional information, refer to the following section, -Engine Fan, Removal & Installation.
Remove the condenser mounting bolts and remove the condenser core.
Installation is the reverse order of removal. Install new O-rings lubricated in clean PAG oil.
