The power steering pump replacing procedure is as follows:----
Specific to:
Ford E-150 2008-2009
Ford E-250 2008-2009
Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Remove the engine cooling fan, 6.0L Engines only.
Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the belt from the power steering pump pulley.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Remove the deflector shield, if equipped.
Using pulley remover tool, remove the pump pulley.
Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.
Disconnect the power steering pump supply hose.
Disconnect the pressure line-to-pump fitting.
Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts and remove the pump.
Installation is the reverse order of removal. Tighten the mounting bolts to 19 ft. lbs. (26 Nm).
