The Procedure with diagrams to replace both upper and lower Oil pan is as follows:---

Lower Oil Pan
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Remove the engine oil dipstick and dipstick tube.
- Remove the lower oil pan mounting bolts.
- Use a bolt in the oil pan boss to carefully pull the lower oil pan from the upper oil pan.
To install:
- Install the oil dipstick tube and tighten the mounting bolt to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
- Remove any sealant residues with an adhesive and sealant remover. Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper as this can damage the sealing surfaces. Make sure the sealing surfaces are clean and dry before applying the RTV.
- Apply Loctite® 7200 or equivalent to the mating surface of the lower oil pan.
- Install the lower oil pan and tighten the mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
- Install the oil dipstick.
- Install the oil drain plug, if not already installed.
- Refill the engine with oil to the correct level.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Remove the air intake assembly.
- Remove the lower oil pan.
- Loosen the hose clamp bolt from the catalytic converter diesel particulate filter device at the connecting flange at the turbocharger.
- Remove the bracket bolt for the catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit.
- Attach a suitable engine supporting shackle.
- Detach the charge air hose upstream of the charge air cooler.
- Detach the charge air hose on the engine charge air duct downstream of the charge air cooler.
- Unscrew the bracket for the transmission oil lines on the right side of the oil pan.
- Remove the transmission with the torque converter. For additional information, refer to the following section, -Automatic Transmission Assembly, Removal & Installation.-
- Remove the end cover.
- Remove the bolts that connect the left and right engine mount to the engine support.
- Using a suitable engine lift, carefully raise the engine.
- Remove the oil suction pipe.
- Remove the refrigerant compressor bolt at the top section of the oil pan.
- Remove the upper oil pan mounting bolts.
- Remove the upper oil pan.
To install:
- Install the oil suction pipe.
- Install the upper oil pan and tighten the mounting bolts.
- Connect the oil level switch connector.
- Install the oil dipstick guide tube.
- Install the bolt from catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit bracket
- Tighten the bolt on hose clamp from catalytic converter diesel particulate filter device at connecting flange from turbocharger.
- Lower the engine into place.
- Install the bolts connecting the left and right engine mount to the engine support.
- Remove the engine supporting shackle.
- Install the charge air hose upstream of charge air cooler.
- Install the charge air hose on engine charge air duct downstream of charge air cooler.
- Install the bracket for transmission oil lines on the oil pan on the right.
- Install the transmission with the torque converter.
- Install the end cover.
- Install the refrigerant compressor bolt at oil pan top section.
- Install the lower oil pan.
- Install the air intake assembly.
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Refill the engine with oil to the correct level.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
