BLEEDING

If the power steering hydraulic system has been serviced, an accurate fluid level reading cannot be obtained unless air is bled from the system. The air in the fluid may cause pump cavitation noise and may cause pump damage over a period. Bleed the air from the system as follows:
  1. The engine must be OFF. Raise and safely support the front of the vehicle just so the front wheels are off the ground.
  2. Turn the front wheel all the way to the left.
  3. Add power steering fluid to the FULL COLD mark on the fluid level indicator. Leave the capstick removed from the reservoir.
  4. Bleed the air from the system by turning the wheels from side-to-side without hitting the stops. Keep the fluid level at the FULL COLD mark and check its color. Fluid with air in it has a light tan appearance.
  5. Repeat Step 4 about 12 times. If the engine had been started before the bleeding procedure was begun, repeat Step 4 about 20 times with the engine OFF.
  6. Return the wheel to the center position and lower the vehicle to the ground.
  7. Install the capstick on the reservoir and start the engine. With the engine idling, recheck the fluid level. If necessary, add fluid to bring the level to the FULL COLD mark.
  8. Road test the vehicle to make sure the steering functions normally and is free from noise.
  9. Check for fluid leaks at all power steering system connection points.
  10. Recheck the fluid level. The fluid level should be at the HOT mark after the system has stabilized at its normal operating temperature.

These details will help.
Thanks.
