How to replace AC compressor on Chevy Aveo?

The details to replace Car AC compressor is mentioned in this chapter.

Compressor
Removal & Installation is as follows:----

Proper Technical person is required to do this task.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant.
3. Remove the compressor A/C hose assembly connector block fitting nut.
4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector at the compressor.

6. Remove serpentine accessory drive belt. 
   
   
   
   Fig. Remove the A/C compressor-to-bracket bolts
7. Remove the A/C compressor-to-bracket bolts.
8. Remove the compressor.
9. Drain the oil from the compressor into a container. Measure the amount of oil drained and then discard the used oil.

To install:

1. Add oil to the new compressor. Use the exact amount of oil that you drained from the old compressor.
2. Install the compressor.
3. Install the compressor-to-bracket mounting bolts.
4. Tighten the compressor bracket bolt to 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm).
5. Install the serpentine accessory drive bolt.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install new O-ring to the A/C hose assembly connector block fitting.
8. Install the compressor hose assembly connector block fitting and tighten the retaining nut.
9. Tighten the A/C system hose connector retaining nut to 24 ft. lbs. (33 Nm).
10. Connect the electrical connector at the compressor.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
12. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.
