HVAC Control Panel Removal on Chevrolet Corvette?

The details to replace Chevy Corvette Control panel is provided in this chapter.

The complete procedure with details and diagrams to remove control panel is as follows:----

1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
   1. Grasp the back edge of the trim and lift upward and rearward releasing the clips.
   2. Disconnect all electrical connections.

2. Remove the HVAC control module retaining screws.
3. Remove the HVAC control module.
4. Disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connections.

To install:

1. Connect the HVAC control module electrical connections.
2. Install the HVAC control module to the instrument panel trim plate.
3. Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.
4. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (1.9 Nm).
5. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate.
   
   NOTE

   If the HVAC manual or HVAC automatic control modules are replaced, an automatic re-calibration of all the actuators will occur. For the best re-calibration results, start and run the engine for at least one minute after installing the new module . Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module during the re-calibration procedure. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance may result. No additional procedures are necessary.
7. Start and allow the engine to run for at least one minute.
