Blend Door Actuator Replacing on Cadillac CTS and DTS Models?

How to remove Blend door actuator on Cadillac CTS model.
Procedure to replace Blend door on Cadillac DTS car models.
In this section the details are provided to replace blend door actuator for Cadillac Dts and Cts car models.

The Procedure with Details and diagrams is as follows:----

1. Disable SIR system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the instrument panel top pad.
4. Remove the instrument panel center trim panel.
5. Remove the left instrument panel accessory trim plate.
6. Remove the instrument panel cluster assembly.
7. Remove the driver knee bolster assembly.
8. Remove the steering column.
9. Remove the instrument panel compartment.
10. Remove the instrument panel ashtray assembly, if equipped.
11. Remove the center console, if equipped.
12. Remove the radio.
13. Remove the HVAC control Assembly.
14. Remove the instrument panel left air outlet.
15. Remove the right and left side window air outlet ducts.
16. Remove the instrument panel right air outlet.
17. Remove the instrument panel lower panel bolts.
18. Disconnect the electrical harness connections.
19. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel lower panel.
20. Remove the right hand floor air outlet duct.
21. Disconnect the auxiliary air temperature actuator electrical connector.
22. Remove the auxiliary air temperature actuator screws.
23. Remove the auxiliary air temperature actuator.

To install:

1. Install the auxiliary air temperature actuator.
2. Install the auxiliary air temperature actuator screws. Tighten to 9 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
3. Reconnect the auxiliary air temperature actuator electrical connector.
4. With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel lower panel.
5. Reconnect the electrical harness connections.
6. Install the instrument panel lower panel bolts. Tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
7. Install the instrument panel right air outlet.
8. Install the right and left side window air outlet ducts.
9. Install the instrument panel left air outlet.
10. Install the HVAC control Assembly.
11. Install the radio.
12. Install the center console, if equipped.
13. Install the instrument panel ashtray assembly, if equipped.
14. Install the instrument panel compartment.
15. Install the steering column.
16. Install the driver knee bolster assembly.
17. Install the instrument panel cluster assembly.
18. Install the left instrument panel accessory trim plate.
19. Install the instrument panel center trim panel.
20. Install the instrument panel top pad.
21. Enable the SIR system.
22. Connect the negative battery cable.
23. Reprogram the necessary accessories.
